T-P Acoustics awarded contract for TSMC chip plant

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (TSMC) started construction at a site in Arizona in a partnership with Okland Construction Company, Inc. and several sub-contractors which will provide the labor force to build this $12 billion computer chip factory. Speaking at the company’s annual technology presentation to clients and investors, CEO C.C. Wei said the planned factory is to start production of chips using the company’s 5-nanometer production technology in 2024.

T-P Acoustics is proud to have been selected by Okland as one of the sub-contractors on this large project and will provide custom solutions for ceilings, wall panels, and other specialties which will not only provide eye-pleasing aesthetics but help to minimize sound travel throughout the facility.
